Reducing evaluative bias: Increase engagement and openness to change

What happens to people’s potential when they feel typed into a label from their psychometric report?

Evaluative bias can quickly shut down the very growth psychometrics are designed to support. When people feel boxed, negatively portrayed or reduced to simplistic interpretations of behavior, it can cause them to disengage with the learning process.

But evaluative bias doesn’t only come from the psychometric itself. Even with a nuanced model, the way behavior is introduced, interpreted and facilitated can unintentionally reinforce stereotypes and close people off to meaningful reflection and development.

In this session, we’ll explore how Lumina Spark reveals a more balanced view of behavior and how this support recognizing the specific behavioral dynamics influencing effectiveness between people, teams and leaders.

Join this Global Practitioner Academy session to explore:

  • How to avoid reductionist labels and stereotypes that can limit growth and potential
  • Understanding how the Six Patterns in Lumina Spark support a more balanced and nuanced view of behavior
  • Creating psychologically safe experiences where people feel open to behavioral development
